Bad voice acting. You're doing it right Konami : /

It doesn't matter if you know the characters or not. This just sounds BAD.
Everyone's half asleep and two octaves lower its just ahhhhh D:

Quoted from my good friend :iconiron-zing:

"Guys seriously this is HUGE. They're not going to pay the voice actors any money for the HD releases, and they're also going to replace James's voice actor! D8 This is absolutely fucking ridiculous. If you're a fan of Silent Hill, you need to spread the word. Komani is cheating the actors out of their money, and they're changing the games that we know and love. We can't support this!

Watch this video, it explains absolutely everything, and has interviews with James's voice actor:"

Sounds like the new James is saying his lines while lying down and smoking a cigarette. Why are the new voices so breathy? LMAO.

I hate it. The original cast was perfect and I've played the games so many times that their voices are sealed in my mind. Even Eddie's, there was something eerie and not kosher with his voice which suited the character. And now... you're right, they all want to take naps. :/

Is SH3 getting the voice changes? That would really suck. Heather Morris is Heather Mason in my eyes.

Mmm sushi...

Exactly. The original cast acted out the scenes while they had dialogue, and there was definitely something more personal with the original voices. Plus just great variety! Everyone in this sounds sooo much older and somewhat plainer.
It feels bizarre. I'd like to see some full cut scenes posted when this comes out >____>

It doesn't seem that bad.

lol this is intense. I have Silent Hill 1-3 and I think it's just kind of dumb they're remaking them.

Also, if you peek around a LOT of people say they'll buy the HD collection if it the music stays the same! But I highly doubt they will do that! If they threw out the voice actors so easily, they'll probably do the same for the music just so they don't have to repay the original composer!

And there goes your Silent Hill Experience out the window.

Yeah : / and that is disappointing
I'm guessing they'll keep the music, unless they have a way to remake everything cheaply.
Akira Yamaoka stopped doing music after the 4th game I think. (Not 100% sure about Origins) but I can't remember why he left the project. If it was for a change of scene or different issues.

Hmm, I see... Well I still wouldn't get the game even if they keep the music. I have the old games, so why bother? They're still good. I don't need any PS3 trophies, I have a good old PS2 that I can keep playing them on (Except number 1, I bought that off the PSN, but it's just like having the PS version, only no disk)

Yamaoka did the music for all of the games, except anything after the last SH game. Downpour does not have music by Yamaoka, which is a shame he retired because the music just sounds like typical horror movie music in Downpour.
